Henry Kaigler Graddy was the 1st born child of Morgan Lee Graddy and Ella Mardlin Floyd Graddy, born 8/23/1887, in Quitman County, GA.
"Kaig"s career spanned many years with the GF&A (GA-FL-AL) reailroad, sometimes called Gophers, Frogs and Alligators. His hobbies included fishing and visiting.
His mother brought the children to Quitman County, Ga after the death of her husband in 1898.
Henry Kaigler met and married Florence Lucille Rice on April of 1909. and had one child, Lucile Graddy, born 10/17/1909. Florence Lucille Rice died the following year on 2/20/1910 and is buried in the Union Methodist Church Cemetery in Quitman County, GA. Her parents were Henry Thomas Rice and Florence Alberta Ellis.
The daughter, Lucile Graddy, was raised by her grandmother,
Ella Mardlin Floyd Graddy in Quitman county.
Henry Kaigler, Kaig, married Lola Mae Shadrick December 11, 1911, (b. 9/09/1896). Her parents were Henry Harrison Sadrick and Margaret Frances Stokes. There were 6 children born from this marriage.The are Rufus Graddy (b. 3/17/1913), Nellie Melba Graddy (Strong) (b. 1/27/1915), Doroty Iris Graddy (Carey) (b. 2/15/1918, James Kenneth Graddy, (b. 1/27/1920), Loren Lafayette Graddy, (b. 10/27/1925 - d. 9/12/1954) and Richard Wayne Graddy (b. 10/31/1929 - d. 11/06/1929)
Lola died June 30, 1964 and is buried in the Oakland Cemetery, Tallahassee in Leon County, FL.
"Kaig" married Georgia Land "Choc" from which there were no children. "Choc" is buried in Allentown, GA.
"Kaig" died January 23, 1977 and is also buried in Allentown, GA beside Choc.
"Kaig and his family lived happy productive lives and survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great- grandchildren.
