She was born in Quitman County February 18, 1868 and spent her entire life in Quitman and Bulloch County, AL. Interment was in Zebulon (Sandfield) cemetery near Troy, Alabama.

Survivors include the following children: Mrs. W. F. Reeves, D. E. Graddy and W. W. Graddy, Georgetown; Mrs H. E. Finlayson, Inverness, AL, and H. K. Graddy, Wildwood, FL; 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Obituary source unknown, possibly Eufaula Tribune.
She and her husband were married November 14, 1886. They lived for a period of time in Eric, Alabama where he was postmaster. Following his death, she was appointed Postmaster on December 1, 1898, and remained until 1903 when she and her children returned to the Nobles place in Quitman County.
As a young child, I remember her as being old and sickly. She was bed ridden in the home of Walter and Mattie Reeves for quite some time. She asked her maid to get her up, she wanted to visit others in the house. She was helped by the maid and made a round in the house talking with family members there. Was put back to bed and died that night. Her body was laid in a casket that was open in the front room of the house for visitors to come and express their condolences. My grandfather, Mr. William Watson Graddy, was one that was designated to stay up with her through the night.
