Doris Randall Abshier, 89, of Parsons went to sit at the feet of Jesus at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She had been in failing health in recent weeks.

She was born on March 21, 1924, in Sedan to Fred M. and Pearle L. (Savage) Loyd. She grew up and attended school in Sedan.

On Sept. 4, 1940, she married Duane McClure Randal at Bartlesville, Okla. They raised their family in Havana, and he died on Feb. 27, 1967.

She married Earl "Jiggs" Abshier on April 13, 1979, and he preceded her in death.

Doris had been a homemaker, raised cattle and worked at the Caney Hospital for Dr. Moore. She was a member of Foursquare Church in Parsons. She loved to sing and fish.

Survivors include two daughters, Terry McKee and her husband, Russell, of Edna and Becky Austin of Coffeyville; and five grandchildren, Justin McKee and his wife, Jeannie, and their daughter, Kassidy, of Lenapah, Okla., Cami Raschen, her husband, Edward, and children, Braden, Pryce and Priscilla, of Edna, Clint Perkins, his wife, Rachel, and children, Danielle, Piper and Paisley, of Coffeyville, Bandy Baker, her husband, Ryan, and daughter, Ashton, of Welch, Okla., and Callie Neal of Coffeyville.

Others preceding her in death include a brother, Joe Loyd; a sister, RaeJeannette Belt; and a grandson, Chance Perkins.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. There will not be a formal visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the Cowboy Capital Fellowship of Lenapah, Okla., and may be left at or sent to the funeral home, Box 942, Parsons, 67357.
