Alenius Rites Set; Directed Medinah Choir
Services for E. Arnold Alenius, 50, director of the Medinah Temple Chanters, will be held at 3 p. m. tomorrow in the chapel at 5303 N. Western av.
Mr. Alenius died Sunday in Presbyterian St. Luke's hospital. He was on the faculty of the Chicago Conservatory of Music, where he taught violin. He was national director of the American Union of Swedish Singers and the Nataional Norwegian Ladies Singers of America. He also was director of the Orphei Singing Club of Chicago, the Bjornsen Male chorus, and the Scottish Rite Cathedral chorus.
Surviving are his widow, Greta; a son, Eric; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Alenius; and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Isacsson and Mrs. Harry Bergquist.
