COEBURN, Va. Edith Adams Brickey, 88, went home Friday (April 30, 2010) at her residence in Coeburn Va.
She was a former employee of Paramount Cleaners and Dr. Clemet.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel Adams and Anne Adams. She was the wife of the late William Brickey; also preceded in death by one sister, Ona Pearman; four brothers, Author Adams, Oscar Adams, Floyd Adams and Ray Adams.
She is survived by two sons, Curtis C. Brickey and wife, Linda G. Brickey, Coeburn and Joseph Allen Brickey and wife, Leona Pat Brickey, Norton, Va.; two brothers, Jessie and Allen Adams and wife, Marie; five grandchildren, Mia Smith, Lil Joe Brickey, Rick Brickey, Israel Brickey and Candace Freeman; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held today after 6 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. R.L. Crawford officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
