He was born in Coeburn, VA on July 1, 1936, and was the son of the late Samuel and Annie Adams.
Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring as MSgt. with over 23 years of service. He continued to work after his retirement taking care of his family and friends, while running a small business.
He enjoyed life to the fullest, never meeting a stranger.
In addition to his parents, his loving wife, Marie Adams; brothers, Arthur, Oscar, Floyd, and Jessie; and sisters, Edith Brickey and Ona Perryman preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Sonya (Daryl) Lackey and grandson, Sean (Emily) Lackey.
Service at Estes Funeral Home with Military Rites conducted by the Shaw Air Force Base Honors Team. Private Graveside services will be conducted in the Greenwood Acres, Coeburn, Virginia.
