Funeral services for Vera Lee Williams, 87, of Rayville, LA will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville with Bro. Gene R. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park, Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Vera was born September 20, 1927 in Lillie, LA and passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Rayville, LA after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Vera was a member of the Baptist faith. She was born in Union Parish and raised in Tensas Parish and later moved to Richland Parish where she made her home in 1950.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Van Williams; sons, Ronald Williams and Van Thomas Williams; parents, Zack and Arverzener Martin; siblings and spouses, Avis Acker and husband, Calvin, Ethell Brown and husband, Nick, Audrey Martin and wife, Daisey, Harold Martin, Carolyn Dulaney, and Ginger Guilbeaux.
Survivors include her children, Sherron Morris of Rayville and David Williams and wife, Cathy of Rayville; sister-in-law, Barbara Martin; brothers-in-law, Thomas G. Williams, Simmie Dulaney, and Lionel Guibeaux; grandchildren, Cindy, Vanessa, Callie, Amy, John Thomas, J.D., Joshua, and Kristie; great grandchildren, Chase, Jeremy, Dakota, Zack, Corey, Jade, Garrett, Madison, Little Van, Daisey Jo, Devynn, and Trent; numerous nieces and nephews.
