A resident of Baton Rouge and native of Ama, she passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at St. Clare Manor. A floral designer with Dupont Florist and sales clerk at Young Fashions, she was 96 years old. Visitation will be Friday, November 14 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, a son, a sister, a brother, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband F. Louis Abadie, Jr., parents Ludger Jean and Marie Therese Rome Rome; two sisters Hazel Trosclair and Earline Berthelot; seven brothers Lovincy, Louis, Harold, Ludger, III, Ronald, Clarence and Lester Rome; daughter in law Carol Caracci Abadie. She was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, Baton Rouge Chapter Daughters of American Revolution and Joanna Waddill Chapter United Daughters of Confederacy.
