Lucille Cook, 92, Greencastle, died Monday Afternoon at The Water of Greencastle. She was the daughter of Harrison and Rebecca (Alexander) Abbott. On Dec. 21, 1924 she married Homer Cook and he preceded her in death. She was a charter member of the Antioch Baptist Church, Greencastle, and was a homemaker. Survivors include five daughters, Edna Smiley and husband Ellis, Greencastle, Edith Tarter and husband Fred, Somerset, Ky., Doris Smiley and husband Frank, Independence, Ky., Mary Ellen Smith and hudband Don, Fillmore, and Norma Cook, Greencastle; two sons, Edwin Cook and wife Alma, McCordsville, Ind. and Gene Cook and wife Virginia, Danville; two sisters, Letha Thorton, Roachdale, and Lorene Cope, Ohio; four brothers, Earl Abbott, London, Ky., Charles Abbott, Crawfordsville, Ray Abbott and Ralph Abbott, both of Somerset, Ky.; 41 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Ernest Cook, granddaughter Joy Compton, and three brothers, Elmer, Wilson and Vernon Abbott.
