Emanuel Adam, 91 of McClusky formerly of Goodrich died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 19 at First Baptist Church, Goodrich.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND.

Burial will be in Goodrich City Cemetery.

Emanuel was born on December 27, 1923 on the family farm north of Goodrich. He was the son of Fred and Lena (Schwartz) Adam. Emanuel grew up and attended country school north of Goodrich. He worked on the family farm until 1945. He then moved to Racine, Wisconsin in 1945 with his friend Billy Lang. He worked in a heat treating plant. Emanuel met and later married Marjorie Montee on June 29, 1946 in Racine, Wisconsin. They moved back to the family farm in Goodrich in 1947. They lived and farmed there until moving into Goodrich in 1991. Marjorie died on November 14, 2003. Emanuel moved to the Sheridan Memorial Home in McClusky in 2012.

Emanuel attended the First Baptist Church in Goodrich since he was a child. He served as trustee and treasurer there. Emanuel enjoyed fishing.

Emanuel is survived by a daughter, A. Susan Adam of Carrington; son-in-law, Jerry Martin of Minot; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel Adam of Arizona; sister, Margaret Adam Hintz of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Emanuel was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marjorie; daughters, Linda Adam, Debra (Adam) Martin; granddaughter, Julie Martin; brother, Alfred Adam; sister, Bertha Lanning; three half sisters, Lilly Kebler, Ethel Mertz and Pearl Bloom.
