Died, at her home in this city, Mrs. Clodfelter, wife of John H. Clodfelter, of consumption, Monday, Sept. 18th, aged about 50 years. Mrs. Clodfelter was a sufferer for many years, and she bore her afflictions patiently and resignedly. Rev. Andrew Miller of Millerville, was to preach the funeral Tuesday but he failed to come and as the Methodist and Presbyterian ministers were out of town it fell to the lot of our new preacher, Miss Roena Shaner, to officiate. We will say right here that she did service well and in fact, she gave a more appropriate and pathetic talk than any we have heard for many a day. Interment in the City Cemetery. She leaves a husband and two sons to mourn her death.
