CHILD DROWNS
The many friends of Mr. & Mrs.E.F. Polk deeply sympathize with them in the death of their 18 month old girl Edna May, which occurred at their home near Dixie last Friday by drowning. The little girl was playing on the back porch where there was a tub containing water, and when her mother went back to look for it she found her head first in the water. All efforts to resusticate the child proved futile. The funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon by Rev. G.L. Chastain, interment being in Hill View Cemetery.
