Ruby Johnson Abee, 78, of Winston- Salem, formally of Siler City died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Brian Center in Lexington, NC. Mrs. Abee was born April 29, 1932 the daughter of Eulas and Lillie (Elmore) Johnson.
Ruby was a native of Chatham County, She was of the Pentecostal faith and had retired from AT&T. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert Abee.
She is survived by three sisters: Margaret Hough and husband, Floyd of Siler City, NC, Doris Tallent and husband, Marshall of Yadkinville, NC, June Easter and husband, Larry of Siler City, NC and three brothers: Rexford Johnson and wife, Lillian of Elon, NC, Roland Johnson and wife, Bunnie of North Wilkesboro, NC, and Paul Johnson of Burlington, NC. Numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Monday March 21, 2011 in the Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City with Rev. Marshall Tallent officiating. Burial will follow in the Loves Creek Church Cemetery, Siler City.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday March 21, 2011 at the funeral home.
