Mrs. Eda Ann Davis, 85, of Excelsior Springs died Tuesday at the Excelsior Institute hospital after being seriously ill two months. Mrs. Davis was born Nov. 9, 1877, in Caldwell County near Polo, the daughter of Isaac Teegarden and Ellen (McCubbin) Teegarden. A member of the Christian Union church she spent most of her life in Excelsior Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband Bess Davis, in 1956. A brother, Harrison Teegarden was killed in a car wreck, Oct. 9, this year in Hunter, N.D. Surviving are six sons, Harry Davis, of Excelsior Springs, Elzie Davis, Burnice Davis, Ralph Davis, Charles Davis, all of Chicago; Ernest Davis, Ellington, Mo.; four daughters, Goldie Martin, Lawson, Delores Rodgers, Kansas City, Mo., Mary Ellen McKeone, and Eula Marie Heilman, both of Chicago. Three brothers, Mack Teegarden of Excelsior Springs; Monroe Teegarden, Lawson; Chesley Teegarden, Kansas City, Mo.; seven sisters, Mable Abbott, Henrieta; Ettie Riggs, Kansas City, Mo., Pearl Stott, Kansas City, Kans., Dessie Knutter, Emma Wormsley, and Amanda Wormsley, all of Polo and Rachael Kestner, Plattsburg; 35 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
