Mrs. Dessie Florence Knutter, daughter of Isaac and Ellen Teegarden, was born Sept. 20, 1885, in Ray County, MO, and departed this life Sunday, June 26, 1966, at a rest home in Kingston.
On July 3, 1903, she was united in marriage to Herman Knutter who preceded her in death on May 24, 1924.
Mrs. Knutter was a member of the Polo Christian church.
She is survived by two daughtrs, Mrs. Vella Teegarden of Polo, MO and Mrs. Dorma Robertson of Milwaukee, WI; two sons, Lloyd Knutter of Polo, MO and Marvin Knutter of Pocatello, ID; one stepson, Vernie Knutter of Lawson, MO; two brothers, Mack Teegarden of Excelsior Springs, MO and Charley Teegarden of Kansas City, MO; five sisters, Mrs. Emma Wormsley and Mrs. Amanda Wormsley of Polo, MO; Mrs. Ethel Riggs, Kansas City, MO; Mrs. Pearl Scott, Kansas City, KS; and Mrs. Mabel Abbott of Henrietta, MO; 8 grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at the Polo Christian church. Rev. Wilbur Holman officiated assisted by Rev. Norman Irons.
Pallbearers were Ralph Knutter, Bill Knutter, Joe Knutter, Ellis Wormsley, John Wormsley and M.R. Fowler.
Burial was in the Elmira Cemetery under the direction of Alspaugh and Cowley Funeral Home of Polo, MO.
