On January 13, 1977, she was united in marriage to John Abbott. Three years ago they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary; but now that earthly tie is broken, only to be united in Heaven. After their marriage they lived on a farm north of Macksburg, but later moved to their home in Macksburg, where they lived for thirty-five years.
