Carl Joseph (Sonny Boy) Achord of Denham Springs, La. Passed away on February 4, 2019 at the age of 82 surrounded by his family from complications due to a vehicle accident. He was married to his loving wife JoAnn for 60 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson T. Achord and Zadie Harris Achord and three siblings. He leaves behind two brothers Wilson and Jimmy Achord and one sister Janis Maxwell, three children and their spouses, Norman & Bonita Springer, Aaron & Bridget Achord and Randy & Cindy Webb. Seven grandchildren- Alauni, David, Ange’le, Brandon, Cameron, Maegen and Misty and 10 great grandchildren. He was a lifetime resident of Livingston Parish. He was a retired electrician of IBEW Local 955 in Baton Rouge, La. And a constable from 1984 to 2008 in Livingston Parish Ward 7. He was an electrician by trade but was a commercial fisherman, crawfish and shrimp, a hot shot driver for Red Simpson and numerous other things. He was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors from crawfishing to trapping. His greatest love was rabbit hunting and training his puppies. He loved being with and doing things with family and friends. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Sunday, February 10 and 9-11 AM Monday February 11 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, La. Service will be at 11 with burial to follow at Greensburg Cemetery.
