Under provisions of Thomas Adams' will all of his land was to go to son William Adams with the provision that he look after Widow Elizabeth and the three sons remaining at home until Benjain, the youngest son, reached the age of 21. In lieu of land, cash was given to each of the sons and their two sisters with which they could acquire their own land . Bequests relating to Henry were:
Fiftly. I give and bequeath to my son Henry Adams the Bed and furniture which he now Lyes on, and two cows and calves, and three breeding Sows, and a barrow runing on Harrys Runn, & two pewter dishes, and the oldest of my guns, or each he pleases, and a cutlash and Buff belt, a chest.
9thly. I give unto my son Henry Adams, Forty Shillings Cash.-
15thly. My will and Desire is that the remainder part of my Estate hereafter given to my Loveing wife Eliza. Adams shall be Equally divided at her decease between my three sons, David, Henry, & Benja. Adams as she think fitt

Per Nugent's Cavaliers & Pioneers (VA Patent Bk#2) Henry Adams purchased 150A on S side of Nottaway R and S side of the Three Creeks 24 Mar 1725. This land included or was very near to what became known as Adams Grove in present Southampton County. On the same day his brother Thomas purchased land on the north side of Three Creeks. Later his brother David obtained land very near his and Benjamin obtained land further upstream.
DEATH: Henry Adams will was written 9/4/1767 and probated 3/8/1770 in Southampton Co, VA. It names:
"my beloved wife" ...Exs wife Elizabeth & son Henry

daughter Martha
daughter Mary
son John
daughter Agnes Killegrew
daughter Ann Rollings
Witnesses to the will were Edward Harris, Henry Ivey & Reuben Adams
This Reuben Adams would have been the orphaned son of David Adams
: Following their deaths quite likely both he and his brother David Adams along with their families were buried either on their respective farms or in a nearby graveyard. Both are known to have died very near Adams Grove. No 18th century Adams gravestones have been found but they may be among the unmarked graves noted within the Adams Grove and/or Adams Farm Cemeteries
