Thomas William Adams of Chester, MD, died on Friday, June 28, 2019. He was 57 years old.

Born in Bethesda, MD on September 14, 1961, he was the youngest of ten children of John “Tree” Adams, Sr. and Rosemary Jane Healy Adams. He attended the Little Flower School in Bethesda, MD. He went on to attend The Phelps School in Malvern, PA where he played lacrosse and struck fear into the hearts of his opponents. He attended the Delaware Community College in Georgetown, DE where he earned his Certificate in HVAC. He was a plumber by trade and a talented artist in his spare time. Tom was always on the move, either in his painted sky blue farm themed pickup truck or his three-wheeled bike. He stood 6 ft.-8 and filled a doorway upon entering. His compassion and his full bodied laugh put those who met him at ease. He had a true devotion to the rosary and it is comforting that he passed from this Earth on the Feast of the Sacred Heart. The community of Chester, MD has lost their gentle giant. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, John “Tree” and Rosemary Adams, and his brother, John W. Adams, Jr.

Tom is survived by his Aunt Margaret Healy of Rockville, MD; his 7 sisters, Mary Katherine Miller of Chester, Agnes Adams, Theresa Plummer of Harrington, DE, Patricia Sullivan (Terry) of Rochester, MI, Rosemary Adams of Stevensville, MD, Margaret Lewis (Robert) of Chester, Joan Marks (Scott) of Milford, DE; a brother, James Adams of Stevensville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 3rd , at the St. Christopher’s Catholic Church located at 1861 Harbor Drive in Chester, MD where there will be a viewing/visitation from 10 to 11 before the service. The Mass will be followed by a private interment at the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Queenstown.
