Bernard "Bernie" Albers, age 86, formerly of Park, Kansas, passed away in Westminster, Colorado, on July 31,2020. He was born November 30, 1933, in Park, Kansas to Anton and Helen Teresa (Schulte) Albers.

Bernie was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a tradesman in the construction industry. He will be missed by many.

Preceding him in death are his parents; two brothers, Julian and George; and one sister, Marie Holaday Espara.

He is survived by sisters, Twila Stover of Salina, Ks Lucille Houston of Austin, Tx, Rita (Pat) Vavricka of Ness City, Kansas; and brother, Ronald (Teresa) Albers of Colwich, Kansas.

Visitation and rosary will be held at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter, Kansas on Friday, August 14, at 7:00PM. Family will be present 30 minutes prior, as well as after the rosary to greet friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley, Kansas, at 10:30 Saturday, August 15 2020.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Masses. Contributions made to the church may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 South Main St., Quinter, KS 67752.
