Brenda Gay Aaron, of Dixon, was born on February 18, 1943, at Dixon, a daughter of Luther Jasper and Caroline Jane (Shelton) Alexander, and departed this life at 9:25 p.m., on Friday, October 16, 2020, in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis. She had attained the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

Brenda was united in marriage on August 6, 1981, to Johnny Steven Aaron, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2016.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Dixon, and a 1961 graduate of the Dixon R-1 High School. Following her graduation, Brenda trained and apprenticed under Eileen Withers, at her beauty shop, to become a licensed beautician. She owned and operated, along with her sister, Linda, the Fashion Gallery Beauty Salon in Dixon for many years, prior to her retirement in 2005. After her hair dressing career, Brenda, along with her sister, Angela, started a small dog grooming business which they operated for a number of years. She and her husband raised several different types of animals as their hobby.

Those left to mourn the passing of Brenda include: One daughter, Gay Lynn Sinden, and husband, Paul, of Dixon; one step-son, John Steven Aaron, and friend, Jodie, of Rolla; two grandchildren, Nathan Warman and Jessica Lane, both of Dixon; four great-grandchildren, Isabella Lane, Cloey Warman, Caylie Warman, and Nathan Warman, Jr.; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Alexander and wife, Mary, of Springfield, and Dariel Alexander and friend, Kathleen Creamer, of Dixon; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Alexander and Maxine Alexander, both of Dixon; two brothers-in-law, Bob Overshon and Danny Baker, both of Dixon; nephews, nieces, with greats as well; and other relatives and a host of friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her father, Luther, on December 29, 1995; her mother, Caroline, on July 28, 2015; three brothers, Buell on July 28, 1989, Hurschall on December 10, 1986, and Leland on March 12, 1990; two sisters, Linda Overshon on January 14, 2019, and Angela Baker on December 10, 2019; one son-in-law, Jimmy Warman, on September 13, 2006; two sisters-in-law, Pam Alexander on September 23, 1993, and Mary Lea Alexander on June 10, 1995, one niece, Kimberlea, daughter of Jack and Mary Lea, on June 12, 2003; and two step-children, Deborah Nelson on March 20, 2005, and Mike Aaron on July 31, 2019.

Visitation for Mrs. Brenda Aaron will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in the Church of Christ, 1200 Highway 28, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Brendan S. Carr officiating under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon.

Interment will be in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon. Pallbearers for Brenda will be Shawn Alexander, Terry Baker, Brandon Overshon, Dustin Baker, Nick Robertson, and Tucker Robertson, and her honorary pallbearers are Jack Alexander, Dariel Alexander, Danny Baker, John Aaron, Abby Overshon, Kent Alexander, Rusty Alexander, and Randy Alexander.
