Annette Kay Rasmussen Adams was born on May 9, 1961, and passed away on August 18, 2021. She was raised on a farm in Sidney, Montana, by her parents Curtis and Florence Rasmussen. Her farm upbringing and pioneering lifestyle were evident in many aspects of her personality. She was fiercely independent, strong willed, curious, and adventurous. Anyone who knew her knew that she would take on any task or challenge fearlessly.

Annette was the youngest of her siblings, Kerry and ElRay Rasmussen. She was expected to participate in all aspects of farm work while also attending school. Instead of cell phones and video games, she grew up in the world of running through creeks, capturing fireflies, and riding horses. Annette would often visit the farm as an adult and loved experiencing the world she knew as a kid.

She graduated high school in 1979 and was married to Alan Adams later that year in December. Annette and Alan moved to Spokane in 1979 and then moved to Portland in 1987. Annette gave birth to her son, Cory, in 1988 and her second son, Scott, in 1990. She worked nights while her husband worked days in order to ensure that the children had a parent with them at all times.

Annette returned to school and earned an associate's degree from PCC and received her license in Dental Hygiene in 2003. She invested a great deal of time into community events such as the opening of the SE Park Ave MAX Station and the Trolley Trail Festival. She participated in community groups such as Meals on Wheels, CPO, and the Oak Grove History Detectives. Annette took pride in her heritage and spent a lot of time on genealogy websites building out her family tree and helping strangers build out theirs.

Family and friends will remember Annette for her curiosity, engagement with the community, ability to cook and bake from scratch, and her willingness to give generously. For everyone who knew her, there will be a hole in their hearts that cannot be filled.

Burial of cremains on July 1, 2023 at Brorson Cemetery, Richland County, Montana.
