Mr. and Mrs. Wm Young have the sympathy of the community in the loss of their small son who died from ptomaine poisoning after an illness of but twenty-four hours. The whole family became ill after eating. Benny's father got everyone into a buckboard wagon and drove the horses to Cambridge to see a doctor. Benny being the youngest, did not survive. His mother was so devastated that she refused to live on the homestead with its memories. Benny's father set her up in a home in Cambridge. She never returned to the homestead in Indian Valley. Benny is buried to the side of his mother Bedelia.
