Funeral services for James L. Adams, 83, were held at the Salmon Cemetery Thursday, Dec.15, at 11 am with Rev. Wilfred Keele of the Faith Bible Chapel officiating.
Mr. Adams died Dec. 12,1983 at Steele Memorial Hospital. He had been in poor health for the past five years.
He was born Nov.14,1900, in Salmon , the son of John H. and Mary Ann Lish Adams.
He grew up and attended school at Kirtley creek and Salmon. After his schooling, he worked at various jobs including mining and ranching.
He married Douglas Walker in December of 1924 in Coeur d'Alene. They made their home in Salmon.
He went to work for the Idaho Highway Department as a mechanic in 1943. He retired after 30 years service in 1964.
He is survived by his widow, Douglas of Salmon; one step-daughter, Patricia Long of Salmon; two sisters, Mrs Floyd Hixson of St. George, Utah, and Elda Reneau of Cataldo, and several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Burial took place in the Salmon Cemetery under direction of the Jones & Casey Funeral Home.
