Martha Nora May Nation (Nora), 73, of McDonald, Tennessee, passed peacefully in her home Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was a true sweetheart.

She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Nation, and parents, Myrtle and Robert Buckner.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 56 years, Buddy Nation; her children Alan Nation, Eddie Nation (Melody), Michelle Myers (Willard); her grandchildren Heather Crisp (Robbie), Josh Nation (Katelyn), Chelsea Bush (Jacob), Brandon Nation, Lily Nation; and several great-grandchildren.

Nora was a quiet and humble woman who was strong in her faith and loved her family. She made an impact on the lives of all she came in contact with. Nora spent her early years in health care as a CNA caring for others which carried over into the rest of her life as a homemaker. Nora enjoyed showing her love for others by feeding them. She offered everyone who walked through her doors a meal or dessert and insisted it was considered just a snack if you had already eaten.

She could often be found drinking a cup of black coffee while doing crossword puzzles, reading a good book, or guessing all the answers (correctly) on Wheel of Fortune. Other hobbies also included nurturing her garden, sewing, and singing along to her favorite music.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 3 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Service North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Jason Ollis officiating. Interment will follow in the Ooltewah Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice of Cleveland for your outstanding care. The family will receive friends from 1 P. M. until 3 P. M. Sunday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel
