Ron, age 72, died at University of Kansas Health Center, St. Francis Campus, in Topeka. He was the son of Herbert F. and Adelina (Honig) Abitz. He graduated from Onaga High (KS) School in 1968. He was a farmer/stockman and owned Ron's Bar and Grill in Onaga. He married Barbara Ann Smith on June 15, 1979. He is survived by his wife, his sons, Marcus Abitz and Joe LeBlanc, four grandchildren, and his brother, Lee Abitz. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Abitz. Funeral services will be held August 21, 2023, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Burial will be in St. Luke Lutheran North Cemetery.
