Mrs. Johnson was born on May 4th, 1897 at Wessington Springs. She attended schools there and also attended Spearfish Normal College. She taught school several years in Jones county.
She married Bernth Johnson on Oct. 11th, 1923 in Sioux Falls. In 1926 they moved to Rapid City where they raised their children and remained until Bernth retired in 1958 when they relocated to Rochford.
Survivors include her husband, four sons, Kenneth M., Rochford; Berton A., Burbank, California; Merle E., Rochford; and Morris L., Rapid City; one daughter, Mrs. Leone Sevon, Aurora, Colorado; two brothers, Carl Anderson, Fort Pierre, and David Anderson, Yankton; one sister, Mrs. Emma Egerdal, Murdo, and 14 grandchildren.
