S/Sgt. Anderson was born October 19, 1917. He graduated from the Murdo High School with the class of 1936 and enlisted in the army March 20, 1941.

For two years he was in training at Ford Ord and Camp Roberts, Calif., and July 29, 1943 was sent to the Aluetions and in October was in Hawaii. He was serving the co. G 184th Inf., at Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands at the time of his death.

He is survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Anderson; four sisters and one brother.
