C. C. Pender of Montgomery was buried Monday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. He died Sunday, February 14 in an Alexandria hospital.

Conducting the services were Rev. Mangum, assisted by P. K. Fletcher. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Pender was born September 19, 1870 [sic 1869].

Survivors are three sons, W. C. Pender of Kountze, Texas, R. L. Pender of Bossier City, and F. H. Pender of Natchitoches; three daughters, Mrs. C. E. Jowers of Alexandria, Mrs. Leola Aaron of Baton Route [sic Rouge], and Mrs. A. M. Chellette [sic Chelette] of Montgomery; 27 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
