Ora M. Adcock, 91, of Nebraska City, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005 at her home. She was born July 20, 1914 to Jesse and Flossie (McVay) Humphrey in Auburn. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1931.
She married Joseph Q. Adcock in Auburn. He died in 1956. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital and retired in 1984. She then worked part-time at McDonald's. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship and the Naomi Circle.
She is survived by her children Sharon Neubauer and husband Ron, Nebraska City, Clifford Adcock and wife Alice, Manchester, Iowa, Tom Adcock and wife Marj, Millard, Mary Lou Rivett, Nebraska City and Toni Bando, Nebraska City; adopted daughter Roxy Hansen, Nebraska City; daughter-in-law Connie Adcock, Kirkville, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; brother Amel Humphrey, Idaho Falls, Idaho; sister-in-law Nellie Humphrey, Auburn; and brother-in-law Frank Able of Rochester, Minn.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by son Duane Adcock; son-in-law David Rivett; brothers Joe, Herb and Bill Humphrey; and sister Anita Able.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Nebraska City. Rev. Jerry Albright and Pastor Rick Neubauer, Ora's grandson, will officiate. Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery.
Vitiation is open after 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at Gude Mortuary.
Memorials may be given to First Christian Church in Nebraska City or Tabitha Hospice.
Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City is in charge of arrangements.
