OBITUARY: FINAL RITES FOR JESSE HUMPHREY
Jesse C. Humphrey, Long time resident of Auburn, Died December 31 at the Nemaha County Hospital at the age of 92. He has been ill for some time.
Married in 1910 to Flossie McVay. They lived in Auburn since 1914, and he was in the plumbing and electrical business for many years. Mrs Humphrey died in 1977.
He was a member of the Auburn Christian Church and Modern Woodmen of America.
Survivors include six children, Joseph C., William B., and Mrs. Frank Able of Auburn, Mrs Joe Adcock of Nebraska City, Herbert M. of Fremont and Amel L. of Idaho Falls, Idaho, 22 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. one brother Joseph R. Humphrey of Auburn.
Funeral services were held January 3 at Casey-Witzenburg Chaple, conducted by Reverend Frank Zimmerman.
Burial was in Sheridan Cemetery.

Their children are Rosa Evangeline, Joseph Clifford, Ora Mable, William Bert, Herbert Myron, Amel Lee, Anita Marie.
Rosa was born and died February 16, 1911.
JOSEPH CLIFFORD was born May 30, 1912 and married Opal Rockeman December 12, 1939. he died September 19, 1982 and she died November 13, 1977.
ORA MABLE was born July 20, 1914 and married Joe Adcock.
WILLIAM BERT was born October 22, 1916 and married Nellie Mae Franck August 3, 1939. Their children are Beverly J., Barbara A., Larry and Janice K.
Beverly married Everett L. Rhodes July 20 1958. They have two children Darla Jo born January 13, 1960 and Dina K. born October 22, 1963. Barbara was born September 19, 1942 and married Keith Fryer March 25, 1961. Their children are Mitchell, Keith Jr., Lori and Lisa. Larry was born January 19, 1945 and married Nancy Wilburger October 3, 1964. Their children are Charles B., Matthew J., Heather L. Janice K. was born December 31, 1946 and died September 19, 1947.
HERBERT MYRON was born December 13, 1918 and married Eilene Biere October 13, 1940. He died March 11, 1981.
AMEL LEE was born June 9, 1920 and married Rosie Keyhole.
ANITA MARIE was born August 11, 1926. She married Frank Able June 23, 1946.
