Mamie L. Claxton, 94, of Athens Convalescent Center, died Friday at an Athens hospital.

The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dwight Ridinger and Joey Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Claxton of Athens and Thomas Edward Claxton of Hobart, Ind.; two daughters, Alice Baugher of Athens and Lois McNeill of Valparaiso, Ind.; a sister, Julia Collins of Athens; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
