Funeral services for Glenn W. Wangen 78, of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 1991, at the West Freeborn Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Glenn died on Monday, May 20, 1991, at St. John's Lutheran home.
Glenn was born on Jan. 6, 1913 in Manchester Township, Minnesota. The son of Albert and Martha(Nelson) Wangen. He grew up in Manchester Township and attended District 21 school. After finishing school he farmed for a short time, then worked in Alaska during World War II.
Glenn was united in marriage to Lila Knutson on March 28, 1936. He worked as a carpenter until his retirement. Glenn was a member of the West Freeborn Lutheran church.He enjoyed fishing, bow hunting and duck hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Lila, brothers Elvin(Irene) Wangen, Russell(Viola) Wangen, Harold(Maxine) Wangen and Floyd Wangen; sisters, Maxine Kaufman, Helen(Bill)Aanerud, Dora Melander.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Nels and Arnold and a sister, Florence Hanson.
