Elsie Marie DeLee Kendrick, 79, a native of St. Helena and a resident of St. Francisville, died on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Linwood Kendrick Jr. and his wife, Judy, and Thomas Bramlett Kendrick and his wife, Janet, all of St. Francisville; two sisters, Colleen DeLee Hanks and her husband, Ancil, of Greensburg and Mavis DeLee Sharp, of Baton Rouge; a brother, A. W. DeLee and his wife, Lillie, of Felixville; and grandchildren, Lin, Jan, Richard, Lee, Mollie and Adam Kendrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas L. Kendrick Sr.; daughter, Brenda Marie Kendrick; parents, Augustus and Lillie DeLee; brothers, Willie L. DeLee, Elvis DeLee and Archie Delee; and sisters, Lillie May Harvey, Hazel Hurst, Bonnie Exkert, Minnie Abrahams and Vera Doughty.
