Paul D. Nussbaum 92, of Berne, IN, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Swiss Village in Berne. He was born on November 16, 1930, the son of the late Wilbert and Lila (Sprunger) Nussbaum. Paul married Donna Lou (Crist) on June 11, 1950, and she preceded him in death on September 25, 2009.

Paul attended the West Missionary Church in Berne, he was also a former member of the Monroe United Methodist Church, where he served on many boards, taught Sunday School, was a Lay Leader, and sang in the choir.

He was a lifelong farmer, he worked for Zurcher Tire in Monroe for 35 years, and he drove bus for Adams Central Community Schools for 13 years. He served the Adams Central community on the school board for 8yrs. Paul was a loyal Adams Central fan, cheering on the Jets till the end.

Paul is survived by his son-in-law, Rick Minnich of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Spencer Aalbregtse, Alyssa Wachtmann, AnnDee Reiff, and Joel Minnich, and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 daughters, Jackie Aalbregtse, Teresa "Shorty" Nussbaum, and Barbara Minnich; 3 sisters, Bernice Flueckinger, Mary Jane Sprunger, and Ruth Schwartz; 1 brother, Jerome Nussbaum.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in the Swiss Village Auditorium, with visitation 3 hours prior from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Joel Minnich and Pastor Keith Rupp will be officiating. Burial will take place in Ray Cemetery in Monroe, IN.

Memorials may be given through the funeral home to West Missionary Church.
