She worked in the Adams Central Community Schools, as an Elementary Teacher, for 20 years. Barbara was also an Adams Central graduate and received her undergraduate degree at IPFW.
Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, summer vacations, and cheering on the Jets! She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rick Minnich of Decatur; a son, Joel (Erin) Minnich of Noblesville, IN; a daughter, AnnDee (Dan) Reiff of Goshen, IN; four grandchildren, Addi, Zach, Ethan and Steven.
Barbara was preceded in death by two sisters, Jackie Aalbregtse and Teresa Nussbaum.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at First United Methodist Church. Her son, Joel Minnich, will be officiating. She will be inurned at a later date, at Ray Cemetery.
