Flora Mae Painting Tudor, 87, of Summit, died Oct. 11, 2009, at Beacham Memorial Hospital. Services were 11 a.m. today at Tangipahoa Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mike Morris, the Rev. Bob Lynch and Dr. David Millican officiating. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mrs. Tudor was born April 17, 1922, in Forest, to Pat and Gladys McVey Allen.

She was a member of Tangipahoa Baptist Church.

Her family said she was a gracious lady who loved her grandchildren very much. "She will always be loved, never forgotten and waiting for us in heaven."

Mrs. Tudor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Painting; a brother, Oliver Allen; and son-in-law, Judge Fowler. Survivors include her husband, Charles Tudor; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharron and George Flowers of Star, Brenda and Joe Abbott of McComb and Sue and Jim Hansen of Florida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Marie Allen of Texas and James and Marie Allen of McComb; a sister, Joy Jansen of Texas; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Tangipahoa Baptist Church Youth Fund, 7555 Thompson Road, Summit, MS 39666 or to Hospice Compassus, 140 N. 5th St., McComb, MS 39648.
