Babe Acree was born Aug. 2, 1877, died Dec. 21, 1943 at the age of 66 years, 4 months and 19 days. He was a member of Summer Shade church. He was married to Ida Bell Landis March 23, 1904. To this union was born three daughters, Pearl Bagby who preceded him in death about nine years. Two surviving are Lela Bagby, Mavis Kelly, eleven grandchildren and one brother Edd Acree and a host of loved ones and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Claude Squires, Rev. Salmon, and Rev. G.L. Walker at Fry Church, and burial was in the Coffey Cemetery.
