Mr. Robert Acree, son of Mr. J. A. Acree and Mrs. Mae Estes Acree of Greensburg, Route 5, was born January 4, 1929 in Green County and died at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 1969 at Norton Memorial Infirmary in Louisville. He lived at 6009 Gloria Lane, Louisville. He was 40 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pickett's Chapel Methodist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Mae Howard February 16, 1957, who survives. Other survivors are two brothers: Cosby Acree, Louisville and Odell Acree, Victor, New York; five sisters: Mrs. Jean Simpson, Canmer, Ky., Mrs. Letha Dewitt, Mrs. Doris Patterson and Mrs. Martha Jane Milby, all of Greensburg and Mrs. Sarah Brockman, Lebanon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at Pickett's Chapel Methodist Church, with burial in the Fry Cemetery. Rev. William Ellis officiated. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.Pallbearers were: Samp Acree, Claude Sharp, Earl Brockman, Clyde Scott, Thomas Druary, and Woodrow Sharp.
