She was a retired dietician of the Croatan Hotel, Kill Devil Hills, where she worked for 17 years.
She was a member of Coinjock Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Virginia A. Bolton of Waterlily; a son, Leonard L. Ackiss of Newport News, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Molly O. Silverthorne of Scranton; a brother, David B. Oden of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Hampton Cemetery at Waterlily with Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, in charge. The family is at the home of Mrs. Bolton, Waterlily.
