Elnora M. Lukehart, age 89, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her residence. Elnora May Lukehart was born September 29, 1921 in Montgomery County, Iowa the daughter of Novie "Pete" and Bonnie (Buffon) Milgrove. She graduated from Stennett High School in 1939 and was united in marriage to Glendon Lukehart on September 29, 1940 in Rockport, Missouri. Elnora lived most of her life in Red Oak until moving to Creston, Iowa for 15 years where she worked in the dietary department at Greater Community Hospital. Elnora and Glendon moved back to Red Oak in 1982. Elnora was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Preceding Elnora in death were her parents; her husband: Glendon on April 6, 2000; brothers: Wesley, Lawrence, Pete, and Bill Milgrove; and sisters: Gladys Milgrove and Fern Jones. Survivors include her children: Robert Lukehart and wife Shirley of Red Oak, Iowa; Viola Rinehart of Red Oak, Iowa; Carolyn Foreman of Red Oak, Iowa; and Bonnie Gage and husband Dale of Emerson, Iowa; brother: Kenneth Milgrove and wife Opal of Red Oak, Iowa; sister: Darlene Abbott of Branson, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. George Hooper officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. There will be open visitation at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. A memorial fund is being established in Elnora's name.
