MARGARET JACKSON
Margaret Jackson, daughter of Otto and Bee Brown, was born Oct. 30, 1910 in Wayne County, Iowa, and departed this life March 10, 2005 at Lucas County Health Center in Chariton at the age of 94.
Margaret was united in marriage to Carl R. Jackson, Nov. 3, 1929. To this union two children were born, Merlon Russell and Theda Louise.
Margaret and Carl operated the family farm until retiring in the fall of 1973 and beginning their retired life of traveling, camping and fishing. They eventually made their home in Mission, Texas, returning to Chariton in the fall of 1995 to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl and son Merlon.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Theda Bingaman and son-in-law, Benjie; daughter-in-law, Mary Fyrn Jackson, all of Chariton; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by a host of friends and relatives.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Fielding Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Pulati officiating. Pallbearers were Merlon Jackson, Jr., Craig Jackson, Mike Sims, Dan Kratoska, Rick Lynch, Curt Shriver and Tim Fitzwilliam. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
