Eutimio "Tim" Abeyta, Jr., age 68, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque and New Mexico, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2004 at Ft. Bayard Medical Center in Silver City, NM.
Tim was born on May 14, 1935 the son of Eutimio and Beatrice Sáiz Abeyta, Sr. in Alameda, New Mexico.
Eutimio had been a bus driver for the City of Albuquerque before he became ill and could no longer work. His family took care of him at home for 13 years.
Tim was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Crusillo, Church choir of Mt. Carmel.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Eutimio and Beatrice Abeyta.
Tim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Jean Padilla Abeyta of the family home, four children, Albert Abeyta and his wife, Marica, Mary Ellen Lucero and her husband, George, Anthony Abeyta, and Susan Arellano and her husband, José, two sisters, Margaret Armijo and Jenny Vallejos and her husband, Alex, three brothers, Ben Abeyta and his wife, Mary, Frank Abeyta and his wife, Kris and Severiano Abeyta and his wife, Dolly, seven grandchildren, Kenny, Lynette, Dominic, Venessa, Angelo, Richard and Monica and two great-grandchildren, Lorenzo and Sativa.
The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Fourth St. and Alameda Blvd., Albuquerque with the Service on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with Deacon Contreras officiating. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park.
