MARING Rites At Batavia

BATAVIA - Charles (Buck) MARING, 73, died at Bettendorf Saturday morning. A former Batavia resident, he had lived in Bettendorf for 23 years.

The service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia Cemetery with military rites by the VFW of Ottumwa.

Maring was born Sept. 16, 1903 at Batavia, the son of Walter and Florence SKIRVIN MARING. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his widow, Elsie CRAFTON; four daughters Mrs. Cathy WENDLAND of Bettendorf, Mrs. Julia MACK of Wayland, Bonnie MARING and Darla MARING, both of Bettendorf; and seven grandchildren.
