Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Sun. at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home for Mrs. Hattie Mae Vanarsdale, 67, who died Fri 18 Nov at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nettie Cook, in Greensburg. Rev. V.A. Jones was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Lee Cem. the daughter of the late Green Lee and Mrs. Mariah McKinney lee, she was born in Green Co. 9 Nov 1888. She was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to John William Vanarsdale. He preceded her in death 29 years ago. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Nettie Cook, Greensburg, Mrs. Bonnie Walsh, Louisville, 2 sons, Ned Vanarsdale, with the U.S. Air Force, Newfoundland, and Fred Vanarsdale, with the U.S. Army, Washington; 1 sister, Mrs. Ruie Pierce, Louisville, and a brother, Clarence Lee, Louisville; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Chuck Clark, Tut Mills, Marvin Curry, Dennis Sullivan, Kirt Mills, and Roy McMahan.
