Josephine Elizabeth Beerbower, 84, Olathe, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the Evergreen Care Center in Olathe.

She was born on Nov. 29, 1928, at Valley Falls, KS, the daughter of James Walter and Kelley Grace Fisk Beerbower.

Josephine had lived at the Evergreen Care Center for the past 30 years. Prior to that she had lived at Lawrence for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Beerbower and Paul Beerbower, and three sisters, Elsie Abby, Dora Wade, and Norma Jean Smith.

Survivors include a brother, Jack Beerbower, Eudora; and a sister, Eva Mae Beerbower, El Paso, TX.

The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Mercer Funeral Home, Valley Falls, one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Evergreen Care Center and sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 6, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
