Graveside service for Jack D. Beerbower, 81, Eudora will be held at noon Friday, February 15, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery. He died Monday, February 11, 2019, at his home.

He was born on May 30, 1937, in Valley Falls KS, the son of James William and Kelley Grace (Fish) Beerbower.

He was a custodial foreman at the University of Kansas for 33 years. He retired in 1994.

He married Corliss Coleen Houdson on September 5, 1975, in Lawrence, KS. She preceded him in death on November 25, 2014.

Survivors include his daughters, Betty Beerbower, Lawrence, Nancy Daniels, Eudora. Kelley Hunt, Lawrence; son, Jackie Beerbower, Eudora; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and friend and neighbor, Ronnie Wyrick. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Jim and Paul D. Beerbower; and five sisters, Elsie Marie Abby, Norma Jean Smith, Dora Mae Wade, Josephine Elizabeth Beerbower, and Eva Marie Acree.

The family will greet friends from 10 – 11:30 a.m. prior to the service on Friday, February 15th at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Services are pending for Jack Dean Beerbower, 81, Eudora, and will be announced by Warren-McElwain Mortuary. He passed away Mon., Feb. 11th at his home. warrenmcelwain.com

Stepped outside and slipped on ice and head his head. The head was bad enough that he did not recover from it.
