John S. Rodgers, Sr., Peoria formerly of Richland County, died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.

Services will be in the Woodlawn Chapel of Davidson-Fulton Funeral Home, 2021 N. University Ave., Peoria. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Mr. Rodgers was born Sept. 2, 1915 in Richland County, the son of Charles Albert and Ruth K. (Morgan) Rodgers. He married Doris Meismer Dec. 5, 1955 and she survives.

He was a World War 11 veteran.

Other survivors include two sons, John S., Jr., and Charles E., both of Peoria; a daughter, Sharron Jeanne Armstrong, Peoria; six brothers, Truman Rodgers,
Claremont; Coleman Rodgers, Oklahoma; Lloyd and Lafe Rodgers, both of Olney; Newt Rodgers, Seebonk, Mass.; and Roy Rodgers, Elgin; two sisters, Lydia Greenwood, Olney; Elizabeth Brandenburg, Elgin; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and a sister.
