Mr. Rodgers was born in rural OIney on March 8, 1919, the son of Charles and Ruth Rodgers. He married Doris, who survives.
He was retired.
Other survivors include a son, David; three daughters, Cynthia, Sharon, and Susan; Five grandchildren; four brothers who live in OIney: Truman, Lafe, Lloyd, and Roy; two sisters, Lydia Greenwood and Elizabeth Brandenburg, OIney; several nieces and nephews; and cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Ben and John, Peoria, Ed and Albert, OIney, and Coleman, Oklahoma; and one sister, Ethel Abott, Clay City.
