The funeral for Esther Boelter Tiemens, 69, Brea, Calif., formerly West Fargo, will be at 10 Friday in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 Thursday in the funeral home. She died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1992
Esther Aarestad was born April 30, 1923, in Cooperstown, N.D. She grew up and attended school in McHenry, N.D. She graduated in 1946 from the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Rugby, N.D., then worked for the DePuy-Sirkness Clinic in Jamestown, N.D., for eight years. On March 16, 1956 she married HIlmer G. Boelter in Boise, Idaho. They lived in Kindred, N.D., until 1978 when they moved to West Fargo. She had worked as a volunteer for the Kindred Ambulance Service for several years and from 1978 to 1984 she worked for North Dakota Blue Cross Blue Shield. He died in 1980. She married Vernon Tiemens in 1984.
She is survived by her husband, three sons, Timothy Boelter, Algonquin, Ill., Terry Boelter, St. Louis, and Reed Boelter, Eagan, Minn.; a daughter, Jill (Mrs. James) Murch, La Habra, Calif.; three brothers, Erwin, Harwood, N.D., Selmer "Sam," Fargo, and Wilfred, Jamestown; a sister, Agnes (Mrs. Gordon) Hartvikson, Fargo; and nine grandchildren.
